Lava launched pixel V1 Android One smartphone with 5.5-inch HD Display Octa-Core Processor 2GB RAM Android 5.1.1 Lollipop At Rs 11,350

Lava has officially launched pixel V1, the company’s first Android One smartphone in partnership with Google. It has a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with minimal bezels, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with updates directly from Google. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera (enhanced to 13-megapixels) with LED flash and a 5-megapixel (enhanced to 8-megapixels)  front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support and 3G connectivity.

The Lava pixel V1 comes in White with Silver color and is priced at Rs. 11,350. It will be exclusively available from Flipkart online from today, July 27th. It will also available simultaneously from 4000 modern trade chains and over 32,000 multi-brand outlets across the country, which will be increased to about 100,000 gradually.

Lava Iris Alfa started getting Android 5.0 Lollipop update

Lava has released Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for its Iris Alfa smartphone, months after it rolled out the update for the Iris Fuel 50 smartphone. It was launched back in January earlier this year running Android 4.4 (KitKat). To remind you, the Iris Alfa has a 5-inch FWVGA IPS Full Lamination display, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and VGA front-facing camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory with expansion slot and a 2200mAh battery.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop brings Material Design with bold, colorful, and responsive UI design, better notifications, battery saver feature, better security including Android Smart Lock, New Quick Settings, Improved network handoffs, flexible sharing, faster, smoother and more powerful experience with ART and more.

The Android 5.0 update for the Iris Alfa smartphone is available over-the-air (OTA). You can go to Menu > Settings > About Phone > System Updates and check for update, which will download it automatically. You can check out the steps to update the smartphone here.

Lava Launched Iris X1 Atom with 4-inch Display 1.5Ghz Quadcore Processor 3G Android 5.0 At Rs 4,149

Lava has launched Iris X1 Atom, latest smartphone in the Iris X1 series. This budget smartphone has a 4-inch WVGA screen, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is upgradable to Android 5.0 (Lollipop) in future. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PureCel sensor and a VGA front-facing camera. It has the same design as other Iris X1 series smartphones, comes with dual SIM support and 3G connectivity.

It has Smart Swipe, a 4 way gesture/shortcut, Smart View that lets you use two fingers to rotate the images in gallery), Double Tap to Wake up, Active Shot to click photograph in one click and more.

Lava has released Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for its Iris Fuel 50 soon after it rolled out the update for the Iris X1 Grand smartphone. It was launched back in October last year running Android 4.4 (KitKat). To remind you, the Iris Fuel 50 has a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory with expansion slot, has a 8MP rear camera with dual LED Flash, 2MP front-facing camera and a 3000mAh battery.

Lava has introduced a new entry-level Android smartphone in its Iris range of devices. The Lava Iris 444 features a 4-inch LCD display, 1GHz single-core processor, 256MB RAM, 512MB internal storage, Android 4.4 KitKat, and 1,400 mAh battery. This dual-SIM smartphone comes with a 2-megapixel primary camera and a VGA secondary camera.
