Micromax Launched Canvas Hue with 5-inch 720p AMOLED Display 1.3Ghz Quad Core Processor 3,000mAh Battery Android 4.4 At Rs 10,999


Micromax has launched the Canvas Hue, the company’s latest smartphone in the Canvas series. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is upgradable to Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It features a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Micromax Launched Canvas Tab P470 with 7-inch Display 1.3Ghz Dual Core Processor 3G Voice calling Android 4.4 Tablet At Rs 6, 999


After launching the Canvas Nitro A311, Indian smartphone maker Micromax has today launched the Canvas Tab P470. The voice calling tablet is priced at Rs 6,999 and will be available in leading stores from tomorrow.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Canvas Tab P470 features a 7-inch TFT display with 1024×600 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek dual-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. It houses 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

Talking about camera, the device sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with a VGA front-facing camera. The tablet also features a 3,200mAh battery and connectivity options include voice calling, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.

The device is available in mystic grey and classic silver color variants. The talking point of the device is that it supports 21 local languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada in-built to support non-English literate users.

At this price point, the device is set to compete with Asus FonePad 7, iBall 7271HD70 Tablet and Lava E-Tab Ivory Tablet.


Micromax Launched Canvas Tab P666 with 8-inch Display Intel Dual Core Processor 3G Voice-calling Android Tablet At Rs 10,999


Micromax announced the launch of a new Android tablet in the country. Part of the company’s Canvas line-up, the new Canvas Tab P666 is powered by Intel’s dual-core Z2520 Atom processor.

“Our collaboration with Intel will be instrumental in our vision of creating a range of new mobile devices to meet the needs of both evolved as well as first-time users. At Micromax, we have always believed in bringing the most innovative solutions for our consumers by opting for smart partnerships,” said Vineet Taneja, Chief Executive Officer, Micromax.

According to Micromax, the tablet will retail for INR 10,999 and goes on sale beginning November 29 in White and Black colour options.

Coming to the specifications, Micromax Canvas Tab P66 sports an 8-inch IPS HD display and runs on Android 4.4. It packs 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot. In addition, Micromax has included 5MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter, 4400 mAh battery, 3G and the usual connectivity options on the tablet.

Intel has stated that the Canvas Tab P666 is the first Intel-powered tablet to be assembled in India by Micromax. “It is one significant step in the direction of realizing the government’s ‘Make in India’ vision,” stated Debjani Ghosh, Vice President, Sales & Marketing Group, Managing Director, South Asia, Intel.

Micromax has launched a new variant of the Canvas Fire smartphone in India. The first model was launched recently as the Canvas Fire A093 Rs 6,299 and now the Canvas Fire A104 is also launched with a little beefed up features at Rs 6,999. The phone comes to compete against the likes of the Moto Ereview)and the other Android KitKat powered smartphones in the similar price range. The phone was already available to buy from some brick and mortar retail stores across the country before official unveiling.

The Micromax Canvas Fire A104 comes with premium design in decent colour options like black with gold, white with gold and white with silver. It flaunts a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, further supported by 1GB of RAM. There is 4GB of internal storage on board, which you can expand further upto 32GB using a microSD card. Photography department is handled by a 5MP autofocus rear shooter with LED flash and a 0.3MP front camera for video calling. Connectivity wise it features dual-SIM slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and GPS. The phone is fuelled by a 1,900mAh battery, which is rated to provide 6 hours of calling time and 180 hours of standby time.

Micromax is touting the new Canvas Fire as a music-centric device. It has dual speakers setup on the front panel, while its main competitor Moto E has only a single speaker on board. 

Micromax Announced Canvas Duet AE09 with qHD Display QuadCore Processor Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Smartphone At Rs 8,999

Micromax is all set to launch a new Android smartphone with entry-level specifications. The unannounced Canvas Duet AE90 is available on and Infibeam Rs 8,999 respectively.

The Canvas Duet AE90 features a 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor of unknown make, paired with 1GB of RAM. There is 4GB of internal storage on board, further expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It is a dual-SIM device with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity features. It runs a dated Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which is peculiar because the company released the Unite 2 with Android 4.4 KitKat recently for a much lower price tag.

It is fuelled by a 1,800mAh battery, which will reportedly offer 5.5 hours of talk time. Imaging features include a 5MP rear shooter with LED flash and autofocus, and a 0.3MP front snapper for video calling.

Since the phone is listed online, we expect an official launch soon. Judging by the specs, we hope Micromax decides on a more affordable price for the phone.
