Micromax Canvas Spark is now available in open sale on Snapdeal

After surpassing  500,000 sales, Micromax for the first time since the launch of the Canvas Spark  is conducting an open sale. The open sale for the Canvas Spark smartphone has already began, which means registrations for this sale is not required, and users can just head over to Snapdeal and make the purchase.

The company has put white and grey variant on open sale. Micromax has not yet revealed the total number of units it will put on sale. It is also expected to launch an ultra-affordable smartphone in Delhi today, and has partnered with Flipkart for it.

Micromax had launched  the Canvas Spark back in April with a price tag of Rs 4,999. As far as specifications are concerned, it sports a 4.7-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MTK6582 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone also features 8GB internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel selfie camera, and a 2,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include, dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

Yu Yuphoria Now Available in Open Sale on Amazon from 21st to 23rd July

The Yu Yuphoria is now available via open sale from July 21 to July 23. In these three days, 100,000 units will be available for buyers. The company also touts this as the biggest batch of “Made in India” smartphones that are being made available during a single sale.

“Staying true to the same commitment of creating more for our community, we are proud to announce our first batch of ‘Made in India’ only Yuphoria phones, Yu founder Rahul Sharma said. “And that’s not all, it’s time we share back the love; we give you the first ever open sale with more than 100,000 units designed and assembled in India, through our partner Amazon.in.”

For a refresh, Yu launched the Yuphoria in India earlier this year, priced at Rs 6,999. It flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with 2GB RAM and Adreno 306 GPU.

The smartphone also features 16GB internal storage, 2,230mAh battery with quick charging, 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Lava Iris Alfa started getting Android 5.0 Lollipop update

Lava has released Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for its Iris Alfa smartphone, months after it rolled out the update for the Iris Fuel 50 smartphone. It was launched back in January earlier this year running Android 4.4 (KitKat). To remind you, the Iris Alfa has a 5-inch FWVGA IPS Full Lamination display, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and VGA front-facing camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory with expansion slot and a 2200mAh battery.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop brings Material Design with bold, colorful, and responsive UI design, better notifications, battery saver feature, better security including Android Smart Lock, New Quick Settings, Improved network handoffs, flexible sharing, faster, smoother and more powerful experience with ART and more.

ZTE Nubia Z9 Miniwith 5-inch Full HD OGS Display Octacore 64-bit SoC 2GB RAM Android 5.0 At Rs 16,999

Chinese manufacturer ZTE has launched the Nubia Z9 mini under a separate Nubia sub-brand. It was originally introduced in China earlier this year and packs a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) OGS display with 74.1% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with nubia UI 2.8.  It has 16-megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor, 6p lenses, LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with 80-degree wide-angle lens with NeoVision 5.0 Camera UI.

It has support for TD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and FDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3) for India. The smartphone has aircraft grade alloy frame and glass finish on the back.

Micromax Yu Launched Yuphoria with 5-inch Display 1.2Ghz Snapdragon 410 64-bit Processor 2GB RAM Android 5.0 At Rs 6,999

YU has finally launched the YUPHORIA smartphone in India for a price of Rs 6,999, after teasing it for quite some time. The smartphone will go on sale on May 28th and it will follow YUREKA’s sales model i.e. flash sale on Amazon. The device will be available on Amazon.in and the registration for it will commence today at 5pm.

The YUPHORIA is meant to cater to the budget smartphone buyers and it packs in good specs in the given price of Rs. 6,999. The device features a 5-inch HD IPS display and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop based CyanogenMod 12 OS. As expected, it has a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 ticking inside it coupled with 2GB of RAM. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. It seems quite a sturdy device courtesy its metal build quality.

Given its first look, we assume it to be a value for money device, but a lot more is still to be revealed in the follow-up reviews. YUPHORIA comes across as a major threat to Lenovo A6000 Plus , It would be interesting to see how it performs in the Indian market.
