Micromax Launched Canvas Xpress with 4.5-inch Display 1.3Ghz Quad Core Processor Android 4.4 Smartphone At Rs 6,999

Micromax has launched Canvas Xpress, the company’s latest budget smartphone in the Canvas series exclusively on Flipkart. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel VGA front-facing camera. It has Dual SIM support similar to other Micromax smartphones and also has 3G connectivity.

It has HotKnot and Smart Wake features. It comes pre-loaded with Book my show, clean master, hike, MAD, Yata and more apps.

Obi Mobile has added yet another Android smartphone to its portfolio in India. The Obi Boa S503 has been listed on the brand’s website for Rs 7,990. The company didn’t reveal when it will go on sale, but the device is available at a discounted price of Rs 7,580 on eBay India.

The Obi Boa S503 is an Android 4.4 KitKat-powered smartphone featuring a 5-inch HD IPS TFT display. It’s powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, accompanied by a gigabyte of RAM. The phone packs 4GB of in-built storage (with around 1.2GB available to use), which can be further expanded up to 64GB by sliding in a microSD card. Connectivity wise, it offers dual-SIM slots, both with 3G support, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, micro-USB, and GPS.

At the rear, the Obi Boa houses an 8MP autofocus camera with a CMOS sensor and an LED flash. A 2MP front snapper is also there for video calling and shooting self-portraits. Other photography features include HDR mode, multi shot, Face Detection / Beautification, and Panorama. The device sips juice from a 2,400mAh battery, which as per the vendor, provides six hours of talk time and 230 hours of standby time.

The Obi Boa will be up against the likes of the Lava Iris Fuel 50, Lenovo A536, XOLO Opus HD, and OPlus XonPhone 5. 


Samsung Galaxy Core || Price Drop From Rs 11,500 to Rs 7,999

With more and more players jumping aggressively into the entry-level smartphone segment, mainstream players like Samsung are now forced to rethink their pricing strategy. New smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Asus Zenfones are already offering great features in the sub-10k price segment, and the launch of Android One program has further heated up the market. 

Taking cue, Samsung has activated a significant price drop for the Galaxy Core II, which has a market operating price of around Rs 11,500. The device is now available on Amazon for Rs 7,990 only. You can also avail of an additional cashback of 10 percent by making the payment via an SBI debit or credit card. The Mumbai based independent mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom has also confirmed the price drop via Twitter.

To recap on the features, the Samsung Galaxy Core II offers a 4.5-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) display, and runs Android v4.4.2 KitKat. It gets power from a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, accompanied by 768MB of RAM. In the photography department, it has a 5MP autofocus primary camera with LED flash and a VGA front shooter. Connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS etc. The handset also features a leather-finish back panel.


Micromax Launched Canvas Nitro with 5-inch Hd Display 13MP Camera 2GB RAM Android 4.4 KitKat Smartphone At Rs 12,990

Indian smartphone vendor Micromax on Monday unveiled a new Android smartphone in the country. Part of the company’s Canvas line-up, the new Micromax Canvas Nitro has been priced at INR 12,990 and will be sold exclusively via Snapdeal.com starting today.

Coming to the specifications, the smartphone features a 5-inch IPS HD display, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek processor, Android 4.4 and 2500 mAh battery. The phone also comes with 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front camera and dual-SIM support.

In addition, Micromax has included 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 3G, and the usual set of connectivity options. The company has also loaded a number of software enhancements on the phone like Smart Alerts, Trending Apps, Camera Widget, Smart Gesture, BlinkScreen and more.

In terms of the design, Canvas Nitro sports a leather finish on the back and the usual plastic and glass front.

Celkon has launched the Millennium Ultra Q500, the company’s latest smartphone in the Millennium, as the company promised last month. It has a 5-inch 720p screen based on One Glass Solution (OGS) technology, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
