Samsung Launched Galaxy J2 with 4.5-inch HD AMOLED display 4G with Opera Max Ultra Data Saving Mode Android 5.1 At Rs 8,490

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy J2, the company’s latest entry-level 4G smartphone in India. It has a new Ultra Data Saving mode powered byOpera Max that let users to allow and block individual apps from using mobile data and save data by enabling data optimization. Ultra Data Saving mode promises up to 50% savings in data across all the content and most apps and also frees up to 11% RAM.

The smartphone has metallic finish on the sides and has faux leather back. Samsung said that the Galaxy J2 has been developed in Samsung’s Indian R&D facility.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 comes in Black, White and Gold colors and is priced at Rs. 8,490. It will be available from September 21st across all the channels in India.

Lenovo launched the A2010 as India’s most affordable 4G smartphone for Rs. 4,990. It went on sale exclusively on Flipkart  through flash sale last Thursday, September 3rd. Today Lenovo has started selling the smartphone in both White and Black colors through open sale, without registrations from 12PM. It did not say how long it will continue to sell the smartphone through open sale, but it is likely to be permanent.

The Lenovo K3 Note recently went registration-free permanently, so you can now get one from Flipkart for Rs. 9,999. Airtel launches 4G Services Pan India in 296 towns

After rolling out 4G trials in many cities, Airtel has just commercially launched its 4G services in 296 towns across India. This makes it the first company to make the fast new 4G services available to the public.

The company is offering its 4G services at very low rates starting at Rs 25. Additionally, Airtel is offering six months of unlimited music streaming and downloads on ‘Wynk Music’ and five free movies per month for six months on the Eros Now channel of ‘Wynk Movies’.

It has also introduced the new Infinity Plan that starts at Rs 999. This plan offers unlimited voice calls on mobile, along with data benefits. It has also entered into alliance with Samsung and Flipkart to promote its new 4G service.

Airtel has launched a dedicated website, where users can check if their number is eligible for a 4G upgrade, and whether they can request for a free 4G SIM card or not. The company has also introduced 4G dongles, and home Wi-Fi modems starting at Rs 1,400 and Rs 1,500 respectively.

The company has just released an ad which boasts of really fast speed with Airtel 4G, while also claiming that a full movie can be downloaded in just three minutes.

BSNL to Launch 4G Services in Six Circles by March 2016

BSNL To invest Rs 7,000 crore in setting up integrated 3G,4G WiFi hotspots across India

BSNL the largest PSU telecom operator which is the national Broadband backbone of India has declared that it will be investing Rs. 7000 crore in setting up integrated 3G, 4G wifi hotspots across the country over the next 3 years. BSNL subscribers will be able to transition seamlessly between 3G 4G cellular network and the wifi hotspots which will work for offloading the data from the cellular network.

“Wifi is an obvious choice for BSNL going forward but it alone cannot be successful. It has to be integrated with 3G, 4G network so that customer can be seamlessly transferred to wifi. In two to three years, we will be investing Rs 7,000 crore to set up integrated wifi across the country,” Chairman and Managing Director of BSNL Anupam Shrivatava said while speaking at TeleAnalysis event.

We had earlier shared how BSNL is setting up hotspots at 10 monuments across the country, now it will be extending its reach to more tourist spots and plans on adding 2500 wifi hotspots by the end of the current financial year. In addition to this, BSNL has also partnered with QuadGen Wireless for setting up wifi hotspots under a revenue share model.

“BSNL is in best position to provide instant bandwidth. We will set up wifi hotspots and BSNL will provide bandwidth for it. We are committed to set up 1,000 wifi hotspots by June and another 5,000 by end of this year,” QuadGen Wireless Founder and Chairman C S Rao said. BSNL plans on expanding its coverage in the south and west zones through its partnership with QuadGen over a span of 18 months.
