Yu Teased Upcoming Caesar Smartphone Running Android 5.0 lollipop
Earlier this month, Micromax’s co-founder Rahu Sharma confirmed that the company’s sub-brand YU is working on its second smartphone. The brand has now started teasing the upcoming smartphone, which is being developed under the codename “Project Caesar”. The teasers confirm that the device will run Android Lollipop out of the box.
In the teaser of the YU Caesar smartphone, the vendor has mocked Xiaomi for its devices running Android KitKat. “KitKat in the age of Lollipop? Give Me a break!”, reads the teaser post. The post on the company’s Facebook page further notes “Project Caesar: Stay tuned, the fYUture is coming!”. Hardly any details about the second smartphone from YU are available at the moment, though we do know that it will be released in April.
Meanwhile, YU is all set to roll out the Android Lollipop-based CyanogenMod OS update to its 4G LTE-enabled budget smartphone, the YU Yureka(FAQsreview). The update is expected to start rolling out on March 26th, as indicated by the teaser from the manufacturer.
