Asus launched the Fonepad 7 in India back in August last year. The tablet was launched for Rs 8,999, but you will now be able to pick one up for Rs 7,999. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Fonepad 7 sports a 7-inch WSVGA (1024×600 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 dual-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM.

Also included is 8GB internal storage, microSD card slot to expand memory, 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera and up to 10 hours of battery life. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and on the software front it runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean wrapped under Asus’ ZenUI (upgradable to Android 4.4 KitKat).

HP Slate 6 VoiceTab

HP launched the Slate 6 VoiceTab at the beginning of last year for Rs 22,990, but the tablet has seen a massive drop in price and is now available for as low as Rs 9,743 on Indian ecommerce sites. As far as specifications go, the device flaunts a 6-inch 720p IPS display and is powered by a Marvell PXA1088 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.2GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM.

Also included are 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 3,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 3.0. On the software front, it runs on a dated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Lenovo A7-50 tablet

Lenovo launched the voice-calling tablet last year in June, priced at Rs 15,499. It is however now available for as low as 9,990 on ecommerce sites. Specifications include a 7-inch HD (1280×800 pixels) display, 1.3GHz MediaTek 8382 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.

The tablet also features a 5-megapixel rear, 2-megapixel front-facing cameras, microSD card slot, and a 3,450mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for eight hours of usage, and up to two weeks on standby mode. Connectivity options include 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, on the software front it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (upgradable to KitKat).

Flipkart, last year, launched its own brand of tablets under the DigiFlip nomenclature. One of the tablets in the lineup is the Digiflip Pro XT811 voice calling tablet available on Flipkart for Rs 9,999. It features an 8-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS display, and is powered by a 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM.

Also included is 16GB internal storage, microSD card support, 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 4,200mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android Jelly Bean, which is upgradable to KitKat.

The 8-inch voice calling tablet was launched in India in September last year, priced at Rs 9,999. Specifications-wise, the T1 tablet features an 8-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM.

The tablet also features 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 8GB internal storage, microSD card support, and a 4,800mAh battery. Connectivity options include 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front, the tablet runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean wrapped under Huawei’s Emotion UI 1.6.
