Lenovo launched the A6000 in India on January 16, and priced it at a lucrative Rs 6,999. To sell it, Lenovo has taken the Xiaomi route, and has made it available only on Flipkart via the flash sale model. The first flash sale will happen tomorrow at 2.00PM, for which the registrations will shut at midnight.

Just like the Xiaomi flash sale, it is imperative to register for this sale as well. Flipkart suggests users to be online atleast 2-3 hours prior to the sale. At the time of filing the story, the company had not revealed the number of buyers that had registered, or the number of unit it will make available for its pilot sale.

Looking at the demand for 4G affordable smartphones in India, Lenovo hopes to gain a huge response for this device. It will after all cater as another option in the segment where Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Micromax-backed Yu Yureka are already competing heavily, selling out online in seconds. The device was unveiled at CES earlier this month, and comes with LTE support.

To recap on the specifications, the Lenovo A6000 sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with 64-bit capability and paired with 1GB of RAM. It features 8GB of internal storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, twin-speakers with Dolby Digital Plus technology and a 2,300mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for 13 hours of talktime and up to 11.5 days on standby mode.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, Dual-Mode LTE support (both TD-LTE Band 40 and FD-LTE Band 20), Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat wrapped under Vibe UI 2.0.
