Samsung will Launch Galaxy S6 on March 2 At MWC 2015
A report from earlier this week claimed that Samsung will be launching its forthcoming flagship handset, the Galaxy S6 on March 2 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Korean publication Chosun now claims that a Samsung official has confirmed March 2 as the launch date for the next flagship smartphone.
The other information the official revealed is more interesting. According to which, the company is still pondering over different prototype designs and is yet to finalize which one to move forward with.
From the recent leaks and rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will carry a glass back and come with a non-removable battery. The handset will also have a dual-curved screen, which would enable it to display notifications and information from Yahoo! News and Samsung apps. Another report from earlier this month claimed that the handset will come with an improved iPhone-like fingerprint scanner.
As for the specifications, the Galaxy S6 is pegged to feature a 5.5-inch display. Additionally, it is also expected to come with a 20-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera with 4GB of RAM, and 32GB internal storage. The handset was supposed to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 810 processor, but the South Korean technology company has reportedly dropped it over heating issues.
