Gaana Android App Updated with ‘Ok Google’ Voice Music Search Support

Gaana, one of the best Indian music streaming services available for Android, iOS, and Web has just gotten better. The music app has just been updated to add Google Voice integration to the service, letting people look for songs and other relevant information by saying “Ok Google, search ‘song’ on Gaana’ without opening the app.

The Google voice integration comes with the latest update v5.0.2. Once a user has updated the app, they will be able to search for a song without opening the app, by just saying, “Ok Google, search ‘the name of the song’ on Gaana”. We tested the feature, and it works seamlessly without fail. In addition, the update also offers bug fixes in shuffling mode among others.

Gaana was recently revamped with a new UI that focused on music discovery and curation as well as a radio service. Earlier last year, it also launched a developer API program for developers to use Gaana’z music catalog and user base for new music based apps
