Xiaomi Redmi 1S 50,000 Units On Sale Today Post Delh High Court Ruling
Xiaomi, after the court ruling in its favor, has restored its weekly flash sale on Flipkart again. Today, they are selling almost 50,000 units of the Redmi 1S at 2:00PM to all its registered users. The company has not mentioned how many people have registered for today’s sale.
Xiaomi suffered a setback recently, when the Delhi High Court slapped a ban imports and selling of Xiaomi handsets in India, following a patent infringement petition from Ericsson. The High Court has since, removed the ban partially, where it is allowing Xiaomi to sell goods powered by Qualcomm chipsets.
“We are happy to announce that the Delhi High Court issued a ruling in our favor, allowing us to resume sales in India subject to certain terms.” Hugo Barra wrote on his Facebook account. He also announced that the company will be resuming the sales of Redmi Note shortly, with the 4G model this time.
Reiterating the specs, the Redmi 1S sports a 4.7-inch HD 720p display, and is powered by a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
