Intex has unveiled its latest Aqua series smartphone boasting an octa-core processor at an affordable budget price. Called the Intex Aqua i5 Octa, the device is priced at Rs 7,499 and will be exclusively available on Amazon in white, black or blue.

The Intex Aqua i5 Octa features a 5-inch qHD IPS display and comes encased in a metal moulding. The octa-core processor ticking under the hood is MediaTek MT6592M clocked at 1.4GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM. The device has 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. For photography, it sports a 13MP autofocus primary camera coupled with an LED flash, and a 5MP secondary shooter for self-portraits and video calling. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat, and supports 21 Indian languages. The connectivity options on board are dual-SIM slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, USB OTG support and GPS. It gets power from a 2,000mAh battery, which is coupled with a battery saver feature that saves 20 percent power using CABC technology.

The Intex Aqua i5 Octa is the fourth smartphone in the Aqua i5 series. The company previously released the Intex Aqua i5, Aqua i5 HD and Aqua i5 Mini, which are currently retailing around Rs 8,999, Rs 7,500 and Rs 6,000 respectively.
