After listing the device as ‘coming soon’ a few days ago on Snapdeal, Notion Ink has now begun selling the Windows 8.1 tablet dubbed Notion Ink Cain 8 on the e-commerce site. As reported earlier, the tablet will exclusively retail on the e-commerce site and the price of the device was revealed to be at Rs 9,990.
Snapdeal is giving away a free 8GB memory card along with the device and is also giving Rs 50 cashback on any credit card, debit card or net banking. As far as the specifications go, the Notion Ink Cain 8 tablet features an 8-inch IPS display with 800×1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by an Intel quad-core Z3735F processor (up to 1.83 GHz Burst Frequency, 1.33GHz Base Frequency) paired with 1GB of RAM. The device houses 16GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 64GB via microSD.

The tablet has a 2-megapixel rear camera for photography. Connectivity wise, the device includes a SIM card slot, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, a Mini-HDMI port and USB OTG connectivity. The tablet runs on Windows 8.1 and the company claims that its 4,000mAh battery is good enough for up to eight hours of Outlook, six hours of video playback and around 22 hours of audio playback.

The Notion Ink Cain 8 comes with 1TB cloud storage and a one-year free subscription of Microsoft Office 365. However, the highlight here is that the device comes with an ‘On-Site Swap’ warranty i.e. you don’t have to leave your home or work place if anything goes wrong with the device. You will be first sent a new Cain 8 tablet from the company and later on, the non-functional unit will be picked up from your address.

Notably, Snapdeal was also Notion Ink’s exclusive retail partnerinch Notion Ink Cain tablet-laptop hybrid that was launched in September.
