iBall has launched a new Windows 8.1-powered 2-in-1 tablet, the Slide WQ149, for Rs 24,999. The slate comes bundled with a detachable magnetic keyboard that converts it into a full-fledged Windows laptop. The company is offering 1TB of free OneDrive storage and a subscription to Microsoft Office, both for a year.
The iBall Slide WQ149 features a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels, and is powered by a 1.83GHz Intel Atom Z3735D processor, accompanied by 2GB of RAM. For storage needs, it is equipped with 32GB of internal memory, which you can further expand up to 64GB using a microSD card. Camera-wise, it sports a 5MP autofocus rear shooter, and a 2MP front-facing snapper for video calling.
In terms of connectivity, the device offers a SIM card slot for 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, mini-HDMI, micro-USB, USB OTG, and a Pogo Pin keyboard connector. It packs a 31.08Wh battery, but there’s no word on rated battery life.
iBall entered the Windows tablet arena with the launch of the Slide WQ32 in September this year. The device is able to pair with a number of accessories including keyboards, mouse, projects and scanners. The slate is powered by a 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735D processor coupled with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a 14Wh battery. It offers 16GB of internal memory and can take memory cards up to 64GB. Camera and connectivity features of the Slide WQ32 are similar to the Slide WQ149.
