Spice has expanded its portfolio of Android 4.4 KitKat-powered devices with the launch of its Stellar 524. The budget smartphone is priced at Rs 8,899 and is available at the company’s own online store, Saholic, in white. The smartphone directly competes against the likes of the Karbonn Titanium S19, which offers for Rs 8,999.

Coming to the specs, the Spice Stellar 524 features a 5-inch HD IPS display based on One Glass Solution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor of unknown make, paired with 1GB RAM. The dual-SIM phone offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro-USB v2.0, USB OTG and GPS. The device sports a 13MP primary shooter at the back with LED flash, and a 3.2MP front-facing snapper for selfies. It comes with 8GB internal storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. It packs a 2,000mAh battery, but there’s no word on its talk time and standby time at the moment.

Spice recently launched the Stellar Mi-503, Mi-507 and Mi-516 smartphones, all running Android 4.4 KitKat. All these smartphones feature 5-inch displays and 8MP primary cameras at the back. These phones are priced between Rs 6,249 and Rs 7,999. Earlier this year, the company also released the Stellar Mi-508 Stellar449 3G running KitKat for Rs 6,249 and Rs 6,299 respectively.
